![]() ![]() The HDR-10 addition does a great job of providing a stellar color palette with certain bright, vivid colors looking sharper and more detailed than ever before, while others in turn are tamer and even slightly darker at times, all complemented by deep, clean and seemingly endless black levels that don’t disappoint. The majority of the animated content occurring onscreen looks significantly improved with added detail and clarity evident on the characters, backgrounds and even the more minor elements popping up throughout, while still retaining a gorgeous grain level that holds true to its filmic source material.Ĭuriously, the upgrade to UHD also showcases the lack of clarity in the source on certain areas and animated specifics which can see animated details going off the screen or around the edges almost appearing slightly blurred (something that doesn’t seem to be an error, but instead a result of the film’s age and creation). The video presentation looks spectacular as a whole and delivers a clean, colorful and rewardingly filmic presentation from start to finish that has the iconic animated masterpiece looking better than ever before. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ features a full 2160p Ultra High Definition presentation with HDR-10, remastered and restored, presented in its original 1.33:1 Full Screen Aspect Ratio. For diehard fans of Disney as a whole or of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in particular that are fully 4K capable, this newly restored 4K UHD release should thoroughly impress and is definitely recommended for anyone that’s already considering a purchase. The quite gorgeous new UHD presentation is nicely complemented by a multichannel DTS-HD MA soundtrack and hours of enjoyable previously released extras which can all be found on the included Blu-ray disc (the extras are identical to those previously included in the 2016 Signature Collection Blu-ray release). The new release features a stunning new Ultra High Definition video presentation with HDR-10 that revitalizes the film and brings it home looking better than ever before, while still staying true to its filmic appearance and source. Remaining every bit as wonderful and magical as ever so many decades later, filled with catchy and heartwarming songs and wonder that never seem to grow stale, this timeless animated masterpiece is one the entire family will almost surely be thrilled to enjoy time and again, in addition to sharing with future generations to come.Īs part of Disney’s 100 year centennial celebration, they bring their animated gem ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ home once more, available for the first time ever fully restored and remastered in Ultra High Definition. ![]() The first feature length animated film released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1937, as well as marking the first ever feature length animated film in history, Disney’s ‘Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs’ surprised viewers upon its initial release and still miraculously holds up today in nearly every regard.
